By Erik Marutian ·
Erik Marutian is the founder of Talaxy.ai, where he applies over 15 years of enterprise technology experience to help growing companies find the right talent and automate white-collar work with AI.
Before launching Talaxy, Erik founded Cald AI, an AI-powered communication platform that harnesses natural language processing and machine learning to make every customer interaction feel human. He also leads development at FlashCrafter.ai, building tools at the intersection of AI and creative workflows.
Enterprise Technology Background
Erik's career spans some of the most demanding technology environments in financial services. As Head of Wealth and SME Technology at Bank of the West, he led digital transformation initiatives for small and medium enterprise banking, overseeing IT solutions delivery across the SME channel. Earlier, he served as a Senior Developer at Charles Schwab, specializing in identity and access management systems that secured millions of customer accounts.
His expertise includes IT consulting, SaaS development, and custom software development — skills he now channels into building AI-first products for companies at the inflection point between startup agility and enterprise scale.
Vision for Talaxy
Erik built Talaxy with a simple thesis: growing companies shouldn't have to choose between hiring great people and automating the work that slows them down. By combining AI-powered talent search with intelligent automation, Talaxy gives SMBs the same workforce advantages that enterprise companies take for granted — at a fraction of the cost and complexity.
Speaker & Thought Leader
Erik is an active speaker in the technology community. He presented at Decision CAMP 2014 on using rules-based GUI frameworks to power dynamic financial applications, and continues to share insights on AI, fintech, and workforce automation.
